Nooks earn sweep over Oilers at Lee Jordan Field
The CER Chinooks defeated the Peninsula Oilers in both games on Sunday, 12-7 in the opener and 4-2 in the nightcap. The wins ended one streak and started another as the Fish snapped an 8 game losing streak by winning two in a row at Lee Jordan Field. Early offense propelled the Nooks to a game 1 win in the see saw battle. Peyton Neimann earned the win on the mound out of the bullpen. Jayden Hill would be the only CER player with a multihit game, going 2 for 4 with a run scored and two RBI. Dustin Isanogle would go 1 for 4 but drive in 3 runs. Game 2 was a lower scoring game and the Chinooks would benefit from a near complete game performance from Galvin Alveti. He would earn the win and Louis Zulaica got the save in the 4-2 win in the second game. Keaton Laidley would top all hitters going 2 for 3 with a run scored and a triple. Next up is a matchup on Monday at Lee Jordan Field with the Matsu Miners at 6:00 pm.
