Chinooks surge past the Bucs in an offensive outburst

The Nooks traveled to Anchorage tonight to face the Bucs. Christian Foltz was on the bump for us and deliverd with 6 strong innings only allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, 3 walks, and 6 punchouts. The offense exploded tonight with 18 hits and 11 runs and everyone in the lineup recording a hit. In the 3rd, Isaiah Parido singled, driving in a run. Brady Groves crushed a ball over the CF wall for a leadoff bomb in the 4th, followed quickly by a Nick Hockemeyer RBI knock and finished with a Jake Mitchell blast that cleared the LF wall. In the 7th, Groves picked up an RBI single that scored Carson Clark. Clark had a 3XBH night with a double and two triples. The Nooks were not done yet though and scored 5 more in the 9th. Tate Greene picked up a 2RBI double, followed by an RBI triple from Hockemeyer and another RBI knock from Mitchell. Trent Cornell brough in the last run of the game for the Nooks with a backside RBI single. Foltz threw 5 scoreless after letting up 2 in the first and the pen held it down. Luke McCoy threw 2 scoreless and Evan Rossi finished it off. The Nooks look to stay hot in Palmer tommorow against the Miners.
