Chinooks survive against the Miners in a thriller

After last nights win, the Nooks started off hot putting up 3 in the first. Tate Greene got the scoring started in the first with an RBI double, and Nick Hockemeyer closed the inning with a 2 RBI single. Later, Hockemeyer would lead off the 4th with a solo shot deep to RC to make it 4-0. The Chinooks rallied again in the fifth and Hockemeyer stayed hot, picking up another RBI. Orion Meideros came through with a bases loaded double to increase the lead to 8. The Miners would rally back over the next few innings and eventually tie the game at 8 heading into the ninth. The Nooks loaded the bases and Charlie Deaton delivered with a 2 out 2 RBI single to take the lead. Evan Rossi would take the hill for the ninth and shut down the Miners in a 1-2-3 inning, collecting a save. The Chinooks are back at Lee Jordan tomorrow for a clash against the Bucs.
